What Are They?





Before we get into the ethics, I think it is important to make sure we actually know what stem cells are. Stem cells are undifferentiated or ‘blank’ cells found in the human body that have the potential to develop into more than 200 different cell types that carry out many functions. They have the ability to continue to divide and multiply throughout life and give rise to cells that can become highly specialized and take the place of dead or lost cells.
